Where are all the people who know how this software works? Why is no one answering question on this forum?

We’re really a very very small group of people that are kind of active. Also some, like me, aren’t that fluent with how the whole system works so sometimes there are questions that I can’t answer.

It is frustrating, I really really really like the idea of yacy BUT my site has exploded and I can’t find any help on how to get it running again. I am surprised that such a good idea doesn’t have a billion people behind it. I wish that it had not been implemented in java, not my strong suite. C or C++ would be more efficient. Anyway it’s frustrating having my node down and no obvious means to recover.

What’s your problem? I got all my problems answered during the last years.
My hint: Export your urls periodically and run more than one instance at a time.
Reboot periodically.
